Thank you for being here. These terms explain how A Girl & Her Goat works, what you can expect from me, and what I ask of you. By buying, subscribing, giving or signing up, you agree to them.

A Girl & Her Goat is written and run by Jill R. Stevens, The JOYful Writer, 101425 Overseas Hwy, Site 292, Key Largo, Florida 33037, USA. You can reach me any time at jill@thejoyfulwriter.com.
What A Girl & Her Goat is
A Girl & Her Goat is a digital monthly keepsake: stories, photos and letters from The JOYful Farmette, delivered by email. Nothing is mailed. You'll need a working email address and a device that opens PDFs and web links.
Subscriptions and automatic renewal
- The monthly keepsake is $11 a month and renews automatically every month until you cancel.
- The yearly keepsake is $111 a year and renews automatically every year until you cancel.
- Prices are in US dollars. If a price ever changes, I'll email you before it applies to you.
- I'll remind you before you're charged: five days before each monthly billing date, and several times in the two weeks before a yearly renewal.
Canceling
You can cancel anytime by emailing jill@thejoyfulwriter.com before your next billing date. You won't be charged again, and you keep everything you've already received.
Refunds
Because 100% of what you pay goes directly to the goats and the other rescued critters, payments are not refundable. This includes subscriptions, gifts, sponsorships and project support. If something has gone wrong, like a keepsake that never arrived, please email me and I'll make it right.
Gifts
- A gift is a one-time purchase of 12 monthly keepsakes. It does not renew.
- You can choose a delivery date up to 365 days ahead. The gift begins on that date. Please allow up to a week for setup.
- Please double-check your recipient's email address. I can't be responsible for gifts sent to a mistyped address, but I'll gladly help fix it if you let me know.
Sponsorships, project support and gifts to the goats
Sponsorships and other gifts are one-time payments used for the food, care, vet bills and housing of the animals at The JOYful Farmette. A Girl & Her Goat is not a nonprofit or foundation at this time, so these payments are not tax-deductible. Sponsoring a goat doesn't transfer ownership of the goat or include visits.
Free stories and emails
Story No.1 is free. When you sign up for it, or for a waitlist, you'll receive emails from me. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave anytime. Please know that if you unsubscribe and have an active subscription, I will not be able to send your keepsake to you.
Using the stories and photos
All stories, photos, illustrations and booklets are © Jill R. Stevens, The JOYful Writer. Your keepsakes are for your own personal enjoyment. Please don't post, resell or republish them. You're warmly welcome to share the link to the free Story No.1 with anyone who might love Moo Baah.
The fine print
A Girl & Her Goat is provided as is. I'll always do my best to deliver on time, but island life (and hurricanes) can cause the occasional delay. To the extent the law allows, my responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
Changes to these terms
If I update these terms, I'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change affects your subscription, I'll email you first.
