Your trust matters more to me than any list. Here's what I collect, why, and what I never do with it.
What I collect
- Your name and email, when you sign up for a free story or waitlist, or buy, subscribe or give.
- Your choices, like ticking the box for a printed coloring book or which goat you sponsored.
- Gift details: your recipient's name and email, your message and delivery date.
- Order details: what you bought and when. Your card details go straight to the payment processor. I never see or store your full card number.
- Your replies, if you write back to my emails (and I hope you do).
How I use it
To deliver your keepsakes, stories and gifts; to send billing reminders and receipts; to send the emails you signed up for; and to answer you. That's it.
Who helps me
A few trusted services handle parts of this for me, each under its own privacy policy:
- Kit sends my emails and keeps my email list.
- SamCart runs checkout, and its payment processors handle your card.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
I never sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.
Cookies
This website keeps things simple. Checkout and the services above may use cookies needed to work properly, such as keeping your order secure. If I ever add analytics or advertising tools, I'll update this page first.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom.
- Ask me to see, correct or delete your information by emailing jill@thejoyfulwriter.com. I'll respond within 30 days. Some order records may need to be kept for tax and accounting.
Children
The Fairytale Collection is made for children, but signups and purchases are for grown-ups. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email me and I'll gently remove their details.
Changes
If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. Big changes, I'll email you about.
