A sneak peek

Once upon a time, in a land far far away . . .

A land that was surrounded on all sides by not a moat but an ocean as far as the eye could see, lived a pretty lass.

One with long blondish red hair who liked to write magical stories from her small cottage up on the hill.

Alone most of the time, she watched the creatures in her yard and in the fields below, not surprised when a baby chick perched on her toe.

Her delighted laugh was magical, as she sipped the steaming mug of green tea and spoke in gentle tones to the hens, the iguanas, and the goats munching grass nearby.

The pace was oh so slow, giving her time to breathe in the tropical air with a hint of salty tanginess.

On this bright day, she decided to work on the inside of the new-to-her cottage. More than one hundred years old, it had needed tons of work, done by those with much more experience than she.

But today, with her trusty drill in hand, she was determined to build a new kitchen for her cottage.

A place with heart and soul where she could cook healthy cakes and cookies, plus other sweet treats.

It was on this day, when she was humming along to a tune on the radio, that she heard a sound.

The noise made her freeze and perk her ears to give a good listen.

Yep, there it was again . . . a close-by cry.

She stood, drill still in hand, and crept slowly to the open back door. The only sound was that cry and the rustling of her yoga pants as she moved.

Rounding the sofa, her view now clear, she saw it . . .

Find out what she saw.
